The Idaten Deities Know Only Peace is a dark fantasy TV anime. Written by Amahara, the Japanese manga series first launched on July 23, 2021. The series is amazing and got positive feedback from viewers. However, brutal scenes were unpleasant for some fans, but the series’ ratings rose with every episode. After the shocking revelation in the first season’s finale, fans were excited to learn more about the next installment. Here’s what we know so far.

The series received positive reviews from viewers all around the world and hence managed to get a decent score of 7.7 on MyAnimeList. It has more than 47k members in its MAL group and is ranked at #1081 in popularity.

It follows the saga of a heroic struggle between the titular gods and demons. Eight hundred years ago, monsters put the world into chaos. Thousands of deaths happen every single day. The monsters are extremely powerful. Their powers are beyond humanity’s ability. Humans can do nothing, so they offer a prayer. Their desperate prayers led to the birth of Idaten, the battle of deities. These dominant gods swept and imprisoned the demons easily. However, a couple of years later, Zobel Empire resurrected the demons, causing panic and threat to humanity again. Sadly, the existing Idaten has no idea of demon brutality. However, Rin, the veteran who fought the epic war centuries ago, prepares the new generation for an all-out war.

The Idaten Deities Know Only Peace Season 2 Release Date

Idaten Deities is yet to be officially renewed for season 2, but if it does get a new season. The first season of the series got released on July 23, 2021, on FujiTV. The anime covered 11 episodes before bringing it to its end on October 1, 2021. Moreover, Studio Mappa developed the series and put Hiroshi Seko as the lead of the writing staff. Seimi Kidokoro, on the other hand, managed the directorial team.

MAPPA and other production teams have not yet officially confirmed the renewal of the anime series. Its ratings have dramatically improved throughout its first 11 episodes. So, there is a high opportunity for renewal.

However, the production of the upcoming manga volumes will take time. we would not see any material until late 2023. Fortunately, the cliffhanger ending guarantees fans that the anime will return, perhaps, once there is enough source material for a new season. Considering all the factors, we expect that the series will premiere sometime in 2024 or later.

In season 2, Ysley and Paula’s friends will work together to find their tortured friends. However, the group is not in its best shape, and their chances of making it are pretty low. Meanwhile, Rin may finally know how Oobami knew his grandfather’s memories.

With his friends trapped, the Idaten would probably wage a great battle against them. But it remains to be seen if Rin can save Paula or Ysley. But considering his situation, it seems impossible as of now.

The Idaten Deities Know Only Peace Season 1 Ending

In season one’s ending, Prontea and Ysley look for Miku and other survivors of the invasion of the demons. Meanwhile, Rin was still confused about his contact with Oobami. On the other hand, Miku wanted to kill Ysley and take one member of his team. Piscalat, a member of Ysley took a break, but a familiar smoke encircled her whilst taking a bath. She cannot move and got brainwashed by Oobami. After being brainwashed, she cuts Ysley’s limbs and abducts him.

Later, Cory and Paul return to Zoble. The demons also made sure that he would also return to his old self. Like Ysley, the demons abducted Paula and tortured her. Prontea soon learns about the situation. The episode ends with Rin miserably looking for Paula with no clue where she is.
