Levius Season 2 anime adaptation by Netflix has the chance to continue the story where season 1’s ending left off after the Mech foxing fight between Levius Cromwell and AJ Langdon. There is already a Levius sequel called Levius/est that is ending in 2021, but how long will it be before the second season can be produced?
Levius is a Netflix Original anime series based on the manga series of the same name by author Haruhisa Nakata. Production of the anime was handled by Polygon Pictures.
After his parents become casualties of war, Levius is taken in by his uncle Zack. Under Zack’s tutelage, Levius immerses himself into the world of mechanical martial arts, a brutal new sport separate from that of traditional bouts. As his innate ability for martial arts begins to blossom, he begins to capture the attention of strong and dangerous opponents.
Anime boxing and fighting TV shows have been picking up in popularity in recent years on Netflix. So far, all of these anime have a good history of being renewed for a sequel. Megalo Box Season 2: Nomad was both released, and Kengan Ashura Season 3 seems very likely with the way the anime left the story unfinished.
Lighter Season 2: Is It Confirmed or Not?
Netflix, Polygon Pictures, or any company related to the production of the anime has not officially confirmed the Levius Season 2 release date. Nor has the production of a Levius sequel, or a Levius/est anime, been announced.
Once the news is officially confirmed, this article will be updated with the relevant information. In the meantime, it’s possible to speculate about when, or if, the Levius Season 2 premiere date will occur.
Levius Season 2 Release Date: When Will It Release?
Levius season 1 premiered on Netflix on Nov 28, 2019, and follows the same ONA format as all the other anime on the streaming service. Like most other new anime shows that have been produced by Netflix lately, Levius has been divided into a two-hour season, where each of its parts will have 12 episodes.
Assuming that Levius Season 2 is a green signal for production, the biggest issue is the availability of Polygon Pictures. For 2020 they’re already planning Drifting Dragons, Transformer: War For Cybertron, and a Pacific Rim anime. Levius Chief Director Hiroyuki Seshita also confirmed plans for Knights Of Sidonia Season 3 way back in the summer of 2017, although that project is apparently on the back burner.
Polygon Pictures does several projects per year, and it looks like 2022 is already pretty busy. Therefore, since the production of Levius Season 2 has not yet been confirmed, the second season could be planned for 2023 or beyond.
Is it Lighter Finished?
We won’t go into spoiler territory for this one, but Levius definitely needs further seasons. The first season has covered the majority of the story of the Levius manga and cut a whole bunch of plots from the anime. Polygon Pictures could look to Levius/est (the second Levius manga) to continue the story.
We hope that a second season would use some of the plot/story cut from the first to add more depth to the story. There are some really interesting characters and story beats that have been left out that are sorely needed.
Lighter Season 2 Trailer
We can’t have a trailer. However, here is a trailer for the first season if you haven’t watched it yet:
Lighter Season 2 Storyline
In an alternative world in the 19th century, humanity has just emerged from the war. However, it looks like the 1940s of the real world, the steam technology that we can call “steampunk” has developed quite a lot. Steam-powered robots, various sophisticated machines, and green television screens exist, although they are not found in homes.
In other words, the future is experienced in the past. Besides, a sports branch in this world has been distinguished from other sports and has become the world’s most popular sport. The name of this sport is Metal Boxing.
Cybernetic arm boxers, called Agartha water, powered by steam, perform relentless fights, and the public loves this. One of these boxers is Young Levius, who gave the anime its name. His trainer goes to the rings in the company of former underground boxer Zack and tries not to die first, and then to win.
Sales & Merchandise
There has been a sale of more than 15,000 copies. DVD/Blu-Ray discs contribute to around 15-20% of the revenue for an anime series. This may sound un-profitable and also made many animes a failure.
Anime Series can promote a lot of products making it a booming industry. Some of the products which were sold as merchandise were:
Some of the figures are beautiful like this Naruto Men T-Shirts, and the One Piece Zoro Shirt, Men and Women Also, check out this Gaming Mouse Pad , Maid Sama Posters one since it looks the best.
